No matter what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge do, and despite every attempt to protect their privacy, the paparazzi still find a way to snap photos of the royal couple during every private vacation they take together.
Or should I say formerly known for its privacy and seclusion? It’s obvious that nothing can keep the media away where these two are concerned.
The pictures were taken by a photographer from the Italian magazine Chi, the very same publication that released topless pictures of the duchess last year. And as you might imagine, the royal family is pissed.
“We are disappointed that photographs of the duke and duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas,” a St. James Palace spokesperson said Tuesday. “This is a clear breach of the couple’s right to privacy.”
Of course, many would argue that famous public figures relinquish certain privacy rights because of their extensive media exposure, but I disagree. To me, everyone deserves some time to themselves, and the royal couple is no different. The unfortunate thing is that money talks, and that is always the motivating factor where paparazzi are concerned.
Don’t get me wrong: Kate looks amazing in a bikini whether she’s pregnant or not. The photos posted here certainly attest to that fact.
So if you’re listening, paparazzi, do us all a favor and give these folks a break. They appear in the news and tabloids enough and deserve a brief respite whenever they can get one.
As you might imagine, local residents are not happy.
The photograph, taken by an outraged eyewitness, went viral this week. Authorities are still investigating, but the child’s parents claim the photo was staged. ASU released the following statement earlier:
ASU Police are looking into the posted photo. It’s not clear if this is a joke or an actual event that occurred. Police are contacting the website that displayed the photo to see if they can determine who posted it.
I like to think this was all some misguided joke. A child that young couldn’t be taking keg stands and chugging beer, could he? Even if that was the intention of these ASU tailgaters, they couldn’t be dumb enough to do it in front of strangers with cameras, right?
Wrong. And this picture is the proof.
To those of you responsible for this negligence, I urge you to give this kid a juice box and let him stay with a sitter for the next game. If he grows up and also attends ASU someday, then he’ll have plenty of chances for keg stands later, I assure you.
