Kardashian Key to North Miami
In a move that still has local residents scratching their heads, North Miami Mayor Andre Pierre just gave the Kardashian sisters the key to his city. Their reality show “Kim and Kourtney Take Miami” is filmed in their waterfront mansion in the city’s San Souci neighborhood.
A ceremony was held in the Council Chambers and, true to form, the reality show “starlets” (for lack of a better or less-offensive word) were nearly an hour late for the standing room only presentation.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t keys to the city normally given to esteemed residents or individuals who have positively influenced their communities? I don’t know much about Kourtney, but Kim Kardashian‘s initial claim-to-fame was a leaked sex tape, so I doubt she qualifies as “esteemed.”
What is this world coming to?
