No Gay Packer
The former Super Bowl and NFL MVP put these rumors to rest during a recent broadcast of his weekly ESPN Milwaukee radio show. Rodgers told host Jason Wilde that he’s heard the gossip—which he described as “silly” and “crazy”—but that it simply isn’t true.
“Yeah, I’m just going to say I’m not gay,” the All-Pro quarterback proclaimed. “I really, really like women. That’s all I can say about that.”
As Rodgers prepares for this weekend’s NFC Wild Card game against the San Francisco 49ers—a team that spanked him in week one after knocking the Packers out of the playoffs last year—the last thing he needs is to be distracted by media-fueled rumors. As usual, though, all of this leaves me with the same, basic question about Rodgers’ alleged homosexuality: Who gives a shit?
The kid can play some mean football… and I certainly wouldn’t want to face him on the field!
